Cookie Policy

Effective September 16, 2026

1. Introduction

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, and provide usage information to site owners.

Jethro Software, LLC, doing business as Ministry Planner (“we,” “us,” “our”), uses both first-party cookies (set by us) and third-party cookies (set by our service providers) on the Ministry Planner platform at ministryplanner.church. This Cookie Policy explains what those cookies do, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Church websites: Church websites hosted through Ministry Planner (on custom domains or our subdomains) do not load analytics cookies. We do not track church website visitors.

2. Essential Cookies

These cookies are required for the platform to function. They enable core features like authentication and payment processing. They cannot be disabled without breaking the service.

Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights are also used on platform pages. These are privacy-focused and do not set cookies — they use non-identifying, aggregated metrics only.

4. What We Don’t Use

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, Facebook or Google ad trackers, or any cookies for the purpose of serving advertisements. We do not sell data collected through cookies.

5. Other Storage Technologies

Push Notification Tokens

When you enable push notifications, your browser or device generates a push subscription (an FCM token for mobile apps, or a VAPID endpoint for web). These tokens are stored server-side in our database, linked to your user account, and used solely to deliver notifications you have opted into. They are not cookies.

Local Storage

The app may use browser localStorage for UI preferences such as sidebar state and theme. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

6. Session Replay

On Ministry Planner platform pages (not church websites), PostHog may record anonymized session replays to help us understand how the product is used and identify bugs.

  • All form inputs, passwords, and email fields are automatically masked in recordings.
  • Session replay is completely disabled for visitors detected as being in the EU, UK, EEA, or Switzerland.
  • You can opt out of session replay by enabling your browser’s Do Not Track setting or by blocking the PostHog domain in your browser or ad blocker.

7. How to Control Cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies (such as the Supabase authentication cookies) will prevent you from logging in to Ministry Planner.

Instructions for managing cookies in popular browsers:

Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use the Services.

8. Church Websites

Church websites hosted through Ministry Planner (on custom domains or our subdomains) do not load PostHog, Vercel Analytics, or any other analytics cookies from Ministry Planner.

The only cookies that may appear on church website pages are Supabase session cookies, and only if the visitor logs in to access member features such as sermon notes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please check the effective date at the top of this page to see when it was last revised.
