Church Giving

Giving that knows who gave.

Online gifts, Sunday’s cash, and year-end statements in one ledger — attached to the same people your teams already serve alongside. 0.5% per online gift, no monthly fee, and never a cent for the cash and checks you type in yourself.

Giving in a separate app

Giving lives in one app, people live in another, and neither agrees
A monthly bill that goes up because your church gave more
Nobody notices a faithful giver stopped until someone runs a report
Year-end statements rebuilt from two exports and a spreadsheet
Cash and checks typed into a system that charges you for the privilege

Giving in Ministry Planner

Gifts land on the person’s record, beside their serving and their group
0.5% per online gift, no monthly fee, and nothing for cash or checks
Regular givers who stop are surfaced for care, automatically
One statement run covers card, cash and check from one ledger
Your own Stripe account — your money, your bank, your control
CONNECT YOUR BANK

The money goes to your church. Never through us.

Giving runs on a Stripe account in your church’s own name, opened in about ten minutes. Your church is the merchant of record, gifts settle straight into your bank, and Ministry Planner never holds a dollar of it.

Your church’s own Stripe account — you own it, not us
Gifts settle directly to your bank, on Stripe’s payout schedule
We show you exactly what Stripe is waiting on, in plain words

SHARE ONE LINK

One address, on a poster, in the bulletin, on your site.

Your give page carries your church’s name and colors and lives at a short URL anyone can type. Print the QR poster from inside Ministry Planner, or add a Give button to your church website in one click.

Give to Sample Church
A church giving page on Ministry Planner: the church's own logo and name above amount buttons for $25, $50 and $100 with $50 chosen, then a fund picker listing Missions, General Fund, Building Fund and Benevolence, each with a short description of what it pays for
MONDAY MORNING

Count Sunday’s cash the way you already count it.

Online giving never replaces the plate. Enter Sunday’s cash and checks as a batch, print a count sheet for your two counters to sign, and print the deposit slip that matches what goes to the bank.

Batch entry that balances before it will let you close
Printable count sheets — two counters, one signature line each
Deposit slips grouped exactly the way your bank wants them
Free. We never charge you for typing in a cash envelope
Giving · Batches
Church giving software batch list: Sunday's offering counted into batches, one balanced at $3,400.00 of $3,400.00 and counted by two named people, others marked committed against a deposit, and one flagged Out by $35.00
IT LANDS ON THE PERSON

Every gift is attached to a person, not a payment ID.

This is the whole reason giving belongs here rather than in a separate app. A gift lands on the giver’s record beside their serving history and their group — so when a faithful giver quietly stops, someone actually notices.

A giving tab on the person’s record, for the staff you name and nobody else
Ministry Planner flags regular givers who have stopped — as pastoral care, not a report
Anonymous gifts stay off your printed documents but stay on their own record
No CSV export and re-import between two systems that disagree

JANUARY

Year-end statements without the three-day scramble.

Run the year, review what it produced, and send. Statements carry your church’s legal name and EIN and the IRS wording every acknowledgment needs, and every gift on them — cash, check, or card — came from the same ledger.

One run covers online gifts and hand-entered cash and checks together
Your legal name, EIN and the required no-goods-or-services wording
Review the whole run before a single statement goes out
Donors can pull their own statement any time from their giving history

What it costs

The whole fee, on one page.

Two lines, both of them visible. Your church pays Stripe directly at your own Stripe rate, and Ministry Planner takes 0.5% on top. Nobody hides their margin inside a blended “all-in” number here.

We never meter your counting team

Most church platforms keep the nonprofit discount for themselves.

Because your church gets its own Stripe account through Ministry Planner, your 501(c)(3) qualifies you directly for Stripe’s nonprofit rate — dropping card processing from 2.9% + 30¢ to 2.2% + 30¢. That savings goes straight to your church, not to us. We’ll help you apply.

A card gift, all the way through

At Stripe’s nonprofit rate (2.2% + 30¢). Check it with a calculator — that is the point of printing it.

GiftStripeMinistry PlannerYour church receives
$25.00$0.85$0.13$24.02
$100.00$2.50$0.50$97.00
$500.00$11.30$2.50$486.20
$1,000.00$22.30$5.00$972.70

Apply for Stripe’s nonprofit rate. It drops card processing from 2.9% + 30¢ to 2.2% + 30¢, and it is worth far more than our share is. You apply to Stripe for it and we will help you do it — it needs most of your Stripe volume to be tax-deductible giving, so a church also running bookstore sales through the same account can fall short.

Our 0.5% is not insurance. Because gifts are charged on your own Stripe account, your church carries its own chargebacks and disputes. Fraud tooling, instant bank verification and instant payouts are Stripe products billed to you if you turn them on. We would rather say so here than in a support ticket.

Planning Center meters its subscription by how many donations you take — including the cash and checks you type in yourself. A church with a faithful older congregation pays more for having one. We never will.

Bank transfers are capped at $25.00 because a $25,000 year-end gift should not cost a church $125 to receive. See how giving sits alongside your plan →

Handled carefully

Giving data is not like the rest of your church data.

Not everyone on staff sees giving

Giving access is granted person by person and is completely separate from the rest of Ministry Planner. Being an admin gets you nothing here. Someone who can open a person’s page cannot see what they gave — there is no padlock hinting at it either, because the absence is the point.

We never hold your money

Gifts are charged directly on your church’s own Stripe account and settle to your bank. There is no Ministry Planner balance in the middle, no payout we could delay, and nothing of yours to lose if we disappeared tomorrow.

Every dollar reconciles

Each payout is matched against the gifts that make it up, to the cent, and anything that does not line up is raised as an exception rather than quietly absorbed. Your bookkeeper gets a number they can tie to the bank statement.

Giving belongs beside the people who give.

Connect your bank, share one link, and count Sunday the way you always have.
