Your first poll in a few minutes

  1. Add your questions

Pick multiple choice, a 1–5 rating, a dropdown, a checkbox or open text for each question, and mark the ones that must be answered.

  2. Publish and share

Copy the link into an email, a text or the bulletin, or embed the survey on your church website.

  3. Read the results

Open the Results tab for a bar per answer, with counts, percentages and the average rating. Every full response is kept too.

What churches ask

  • Which service or class time works best for most people
  • Feedback after a retreat, a conference, VBS or a sermon series
  • Volunteer interest: which teams people would like to try
  • Small group topics for next season
  • Quick votes for the youth group, the women’s ministry or a planning team

Honest answers

Turn off name and email for a survey and nobody is asked who they are, which is usually what it takes to hear the truth about the coffee or the sermon length. Leave them on when you need to follow up with people.

Ratings only accept 1 to 5 and multiple-choice questions only accept the choices you wrote, so the tallies count what people actually picked.

Part of Ministry Planner

Surveys sit under Forms in Ministry Planner, which every church account includes, whichever free tool you choose when you sign up. The same Forms page builds sign-up sheets, and the account can grow into volunteer scheduling, events, groups and a church website.

Questions about the free survey maker

Is it really free?

Yes. Forms, surveys included, come with every Ministry Planner church account, including the free one, whichever free tool you pick. No credit card.

Do people need an account to answer?

No. They open the link and answer. If you leave name and email on, they type them in; if you turn them off, the survey is anonymous.

What kinds of questions can I ask?

Multiple choice, a 1–5 rating, a dropdown, a yes/no checkbox, short or long text, a number or a date. You can add section headings to break a longer survey into parts.

How do I see the results?

Each survey has a Results tab with a bar for every answer, the count and percentage, and the average for rating questions. The Submissions tab shows every response in full, and you can filter both by date.

Can someone answer more than once?

Yes, today a survey does not limit people to one response. For a vote where that matters, keep name and email on so you can spot repeats.

Can I get an email when someone responds?

Yes. Each survey can email a notification address of your choice, or your church’s contact email, whenever a response comes in.
