Free church check-in software
Families check in at a kiosk by phone number or last name. Each child gets a name tag with their room and allergies, the parent gets a matching pickup code, and your team checks the code at the door. Free, for real.
Add your families and rooms. Put each family in your people directory, then set up your kids rooms by grade. The kiosk finds families; it doesn't create them.
Open a kiosk on any computer. Each station gets its own link. Open it in a browser, or download the launcher for a Mac or Windows PC with Chrome so it prints name tags without a print dialog.
Check in, print, pick up. A parent types their phone number or last name, picks the service and the kids, and takes the printed tags. At pickup, staff type the code on the tag to check the family out.
What you get, free
This is the real feature from the Ministry Planner workspace — not a trimmed-down demo.
Nothing to buy, nothing expires.
What check-in costs elsewhere
Planning Center sells check-in on its own, priced by how many people check in each day. Breeze and ChurchTrac include it in their full church software. Ours is free.
Monthly prices in US dollars, from each company's public pricing page on October 1, 2026. Breeze and ChurchTrac include a lot more than check-in at those prices. Prices change, so check their sites.
Automatic sync from Planning Center or CCB, team insights, and team hubs with chat, files and projects live in the paid plans — from $49/mo for the whole church. Check-in stays free either way.

Is it actually free?
Yes. No credit card, no trial clock, no per-member pricing. Kiosk check-in, name tags, pickup codes and the attendance chart all come with the free account.
What printer do I need?
Any printer the check-in computer can already print to. Name tags print through the browser, sized for 4″ × 2″ name tag labels or DYMO and Brother label rolls. Make your label printer the computer's default and open the kiosk with our launcher (it runs Chrome), and tags print without a dialog.
How does pickup work?
Every kids check-in prints a four-character code on each child's tag and on the parent's tag. At pickup, a staff member types the parent's code on the Live tab, which checks out every child in that family.
Can a new family check in at the kiosk?
Not on their own yet. Add the family to your people directory first — it takes a minute at the welcome desk — and they can use the kiosk from then on.
Does check-in feed our attendance numbers?
Yes. Each check-in updates that service's count on the attendance chart. If someone also types a headcount for the same day, the typed number wins.
We have more than one campus. Does that work?
Check-in works at every campus, but the attendance count it produces is one church-wide number — it isn't split by campus yet.
What do the paid plans add?
Automatic attendance sync from Planning Center or Church Community Builder, team insights, and team hubs with chat, files and projects. Your check-in history carries over — same tables, nothing to migrate.
